JAVIER PÉREZ
Composer and producer. Dedicated to write scores that bridge the gap between classical tradition and contemporary soundscapes. Based in Pasadena, Javier transforms sentimental ideas into musical spaces.
Biography
Javier Pérez is a Salvadorean composer and jazz guitarist based in LA. Living most of his life in El Salvador, he found a profound love for music and songwriting, which made him pursue a career in music later on starting in 2022, when he moved to CA. His journey began in Pasadena City College, from where he obtained an Associates in Arts Degree in Music in 2025. During his time at PCC, he studied under the instruction amazing faculty such as Dr. Brian Carmody, Dr. Daniel Cole and Prof. Zac Matthews. Additionally, Javier is currently finishing an Associates in Science Degree in Music Entrepreneurship and a Certificate in Commercial Music during the Spring 2026 session. To continue with his studies, he will start at California State University of Northridge in Fall 2026, attending the Media Composition & Writing program. You might also see him playing either his original music or some jazz at different places around the LA area. Besides playing and composing, Javier has a special place in his life for audio engineering, including audio mixing and live sound. In 2025 he started working with Next World Collective as a sound technician. His future plans include working writing professional film scores and video game music as well.
